Thirst

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Where can I go and meet with God? (Ps. 42:2)

Hmmm... What to post. I am sitting at my computer after reading the Bible for a while and my thoughts have been stirred once again to the amazing profoundity of the truths of God. As it is written, "Oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgements, and his paths beyond tracing out!" Yet this mystery is revealed in us, the sons of God, that the purposes of God may stand, not by works but by grace. Here we see why he has given us the mind of Christ (his Spirit in us), that we might have this treasure in earthen vessels to show that this all surpassing power, wisdom, and strength is not from ourselves, but from God our Father. We have been changed! We are no more of this world than Jesus was! I am a new creation and all creation longs to be brought into this freedom, the freedom of the sons of God. It is fitting that those who follow him, by grace and not works, should have this boast. We are free and our delight is in him. For we are a slave to him and righteousness, making his desires ours, or we have not yet been saved. Therefore, our spiritual act of worship is to renew our minds. Stop thinking the way the world does! We are not like them, though this does not make us above them, for what do we have that we have not recieved? No on the contrary, we become slaves to all men, in hopes that some will be won to Christ! Who is he who is wise... the man who fears the Lord. Praise the Lord!
