I have had a kinda hard emotionally past week or so. I just wrote this huge post... then deleted it. One of those weeks. I have been thinking.. learning... You know that awesome song Stranger In this Land by Waterdeep? First verse goes: " spent too much time today /
on things that don't mean much / The world around me groans under it's tyranny of touch / Every wasted thought / and every battle left unfought / All are testimony to my need of you"



Well, I had this whole movie debacle this weekend.. and kinda my conclusion with the movie thing was that even if a movie is not "bad" in the sense of rating, etc. Is it then somehow good to watch? We waste so much time and don't think that it matters... not to mention skewing our perception of holiness and confuse what is normal and acceptable to society with what is acceptable to God.



So I am on this site a little earlier... It is pretty sweet... you can play full length music videos that are *incredible* quality over DSL(Ooo that Linkin Park Crawling in my skin song that makes me laugh because of the way he sings!!... hmm... Lets watch this Pink video [yes, I admit it]), and they have streaming music stations of just about any type you want. All free. So I am sitting there listening to the punk station... a little Face to Face.. Jimmy Eat Word... Bad Religion... (stuff that I gave up in high school) and the site wants me to register, and after I do it will stop limiting me in various ways (like only letting you see two movies per visit, not letting you skip songs on the streaming radio stations... both vary annoying)... and I think.. well... this is a pretty sweet site... lets register. So I drop to the registration page.... as I scroll down to look at it at the very bottom there is this special randomly generated word that they put in a graphic in a strange array of colors - all random... its some sort of security thing that they can track somehow... anyway... this thing is totally random... and what is the word that I get? For me, the one who has been in conflict of the soul about the movie/secularism issue?

It said holy. Of any word I could get... and for a thing that I really knew in my head wasn't what God wanted me to do. I got the message loud and clear... and shut both the browser down and the streaming Racid in my ears. I think they dropped the F Bomb before I turned it off... I think that was my que....
